Discovery of Beauty & Health 2006 (19 May 2006)

Singapore ’s inaugural Coconut Forum, aptly named “Discovery of Beauty & Health 2006 – A Love Affair with Coconuts” was held on 19 May 2006 at the National Library on Victoria Street . Experts were flown in from the US and Canada to shed light on the truth about the long-maligned coconut based on their research studies, priceless experiences and testimonies; focusing mainly on coconut virgin oil and its many wondrous benefits. Attendees were also treated to gastronomic creations by local renowned chef Jimmy Chok together with a live cooking demonstration, as well as a therapeutic massage demonstration by a local spa. The delightful afternoon ended with testing and sampling of True Coconut and adara coconut virgin oil products. Those present walked away happily with precious health and beauty tips, in addition to a goodie bag filled with all things wonderfully coconut.
